The 365 Track Challenge

Day 64, Track 10

Yesterday I decided that I should extend my participation in the Weeklybeats challenge (http://weeklybeats.com/#/faux+foe) to writing and recording a track not just every week, but every day. As we’re already into the third month of the year, I’ve got a bit of catching up to do! 365 recordings in 365 days. That leaves me with 355 tracks to do in 302 days….. No worries. 🙂

Today’s track, Whistle Tones features whistle tones. Surprising, I know. I recorded each whistle tone separately starting at low B and focussing on the 3 lowest harmonics, moving chromatically to F#. I also recorded a few unfocused whistle tones to fill out the sound, and because I like the rhythms that they create.

Realised in Ableton Live.
