Day 78, Tracks 13-17

Friday

Bass and C flute improvisation.

The Tibetan Yak

Material taken from yesterday’s recording, Friday, chopped a little and mixed with chorus. Yak music.

U8

Samples from a 2 hour recording of my backyard. I left my Zoom outside hoping to hear something of what my pet rabbits get up to when I’m not around. They were very quiet, but I did manage to catch a lot of bird song as well as planes, trains and neighbours’ conversations… You can also hear me playing from inside the house. I hope you enjoy it more than the baby next door did.

Words Will Break Cement

Collaboration with Tate Carson (New Orleans) as part of the 2014 Weeklybeats challenge http://weeklybeats.com/#/tatecarson Material taken from a previous track Gulls.

Mogmog

Collaboration with sound artist Vincent Giles (Melbourne). Improvisation using key clicks processed by a Transmoglifier (multiband frequency shifter created in Max for Live).

I pay my deepest respects to the Wurundjeri people, the custodians of the unceded lands on which I live and work.
